YBC Meets with a mission team from the world Bank & World Customs Organization.

Today afternoon , the Yemeni Business Club had the honor to meet with the World Bank's and the World Customs Organization representatives who are on a mission to conduct an evaluation study for the transportation and logistic services in Yemen, Mr. Thomas Kantens , the Technical officer in the Research & strategies unit, and Mr. Fouad Al-Jabri , Professional Assistant in the capacity building unit.
Mr. Fathi Abdulwasea , Chairman of the Yemeni Business Club (YBC) started the meeting with a welcome speech followed with a short introduction by Mr. Thomas to an evaluation study for the transportation and logistic services in Yemen being implemented by the World Bank and the World Customs Organization.
Then,a number of very important issues in this context were discussed , including the need to activate the laws governing the transportation and importing goods ; the provision of security to ensure the safety of citizens and an encouraging investment climate that constitute an attractive environment for local and international investors; a number of obstacles and problems experienced by the private sector in different business fields in order to be used as a base in the ongoing study that is carried out by the World Bank and the World Customs Organization in this regard.
In conclusion, Mr.Fathi Abdulwase expressed his pleasure at the meeting and wished success for the mission's tasks .He also confirmed YBC's readiness to collaborate with the mission in order to achieve the objectives of the ongoing study aimed at developing the transportation and logistics system in Yemen .
