The first training course for economic empowerment of women with disabilities

Under the auspices of Yemeni businessmen club and with financial support from the European Union , the Arab Association for Human Rights, and in partnership with the sail Foundation for Childhood and Creativity and within the project "equal rights" has set up the first training course on economic empowerment of women with disabilities.

The course which sustains for three days and with the participation of 30 trainees with various disabilities from the governorates of Taiz, Ibb, Hodeidah, Hadramout and Sana'a aims to qualify trainees to enable them economically through training on project management and support development projects that enable them to financial independence and let them into the labor market.

For his part, Executive Director of the Yemeni businessmen Club,Dr. Mohammed Ismail, stressed the importance of this session in supplying the posts with the knowledge and skills that will help them to manage their projects, pointing out that the Business Club operates at the community contribute by enhancing its partnership with the various states of the society that include the disabled state that is about two million disabled in Yemen. The Club will help in providing job opportunities for some trainees through the private sector in this program.

The Chairperson of the Arab Association for Human Rights, Raja'a  Abdullah Musabi point out that this session comes as a part of the project which supports the people's participation with disabilities in several aspects that include the political, social and economic activities across multiple enterprise over two years.She urged participants to take an advantage of the course that will form the starting point outputs to support six small projects for a number of six participants  to economically empower them through the application of what they will get of skills and knowledge from the course.
